TONS OF GREAT ACTIVITIES AT SAN MATEO!

From camping to hiking, surfing and swimming, there is lots to do at San Mateo. This scenic location is perfect for enjoying the great outdoors with your daughter in a setting that makes for timeless photos and memories. This campout will set aside plenty of "exploring time" so that you can take full advantage of this beautiful area and the beach.

Saturday after lunch we will be playing nation games at the beach. In the afternoon all the tribes will be presenting their regalia, and in the evening we will be welcoming all the new princesses with an Induction Ceremony. Saturday evening campfire will be our usual fun filled tribal skits.

Cost: $30 per dad, $25 per daughter

1:00-2:00pm Tango at Trestles -- Nation games and beach activities
4:00 pm Regalia Presentations
6:15 pm Induction Ceremony, campfire with Tribal skits immediately after

10:00 am Chapel in the amphitheater
11:00 to Noon      Departure

· Directions to San Mateo State Park: 5 freeway south, to south end of San Clemente; exit at Cristianitos. Turn left at end of off ramp onto Cristianitos and go east 1 mile; campground is on the right. We have campsites 101 through 140.  (Click for map.)

· Saturday hike information: Carpool to Trestles lot, then hike to beach. Directions from campground: drive west on Cristianitos 1 mile; turn right at stop sign that is just before freeway (El Camino Real); first right into parking lot (just before Carl's Jr.). Walk back to Cristianitos and walk over freeway. Just after crossing overpass, turn left (south) down paved path. After ¼-mile, take first right and walk on paved path toward the ocean.  Check the aerial view, here.

· Bring tables (cannot move existing tables), quarters for showers and two bundles of firewood for nation campfire. Please park on asphalt within campsite or in extra vehicle lot, near campfire center (do not park on dirt or in roadway ($60 fine!)).
