Spring Campout San Mateo State Park Hosted by the Sky Dancers Tribe May 16-18, 2008

This scenic location is perfect for enjoying the great outdoors (camping, hiking, exploring Trestles Beach) with your daughter in a setting that makes for timeless photos and memories.

We will have a movie on Friday night.  Saturday morning we'll have a Nation Pancake Breakfast with lots of goodies to "decorate" your pancakes.  On Saturday afternoon it's a trip to Trestles Beach -- not so good for playing in the surf (unless you have a surfboard and wetsuit), but great for sand castles and tidepool exploring.

On Saturday evening -- back by popular demand -- show us your talent, or sing-along with some Karaoke.

Registration is limited to the first 50 people.  Cut-off date is May 8th.

Schedule:

· Directions to San Mateo State Park: 5 freeway south, to south end of San Clemente; exit at Cristianitos. Turn left at end of off ramp onto Cristianitos and go east 1 mile; campground is on the right. Check-in at the Ranger Station.  (Click for map.)

· Please park on asphalt within campsites or in the overflow lot near the amphitheater

· Bring tables (cannot move existing tables), quarters for showers and two bundles of firewood for nation campfire.

· Approx. 1 mile walk to Trestles Beach. Typically, we drive to the Carl's Jr. parking lot (corner of Christianitos and El Camino Real), and walk from there (walkway map here).

· Nice very-low-traffic loop-road through the campground. Bring razors, bikes, etc.

· Real toilets, coin operated showers (25-cents/3 minutes), fire-rings in each site.
