Federation Campout
March 16 - 18, 2001
At Del Mar Beach, Camp Pendleton.

The Federation Campout will include a Federation Village.  Each Nation is to set up a Nation Village comprised of one item (e.g., tent, totem pole) from each tribe. .

Morning Sand Castle Contest
Afternoon Federation Crafts (provided by the Federation)
Federation Games (one per Nation)
Federation Village
Evening Nation campfire with songs and skits

Sunday, March 18

Morning Chapel with Native Indian Performances

Directions

Del Mar Beach is located at the Southern edge of Camp Pendleton, just north of Oceanside.

Take 5 Fwy south toward Oceanside.  Exit Camp Pendleton/Oceanside Harbor.  Enter Camp Pendleton.  (Tell guard you are with "YMCA".)  Follow the signs to Del Mar Beach Club (about 2 miles.)

Notice:  Please be sure that you have a current driver's license, car registration, and proof of insurance -- the Marines may not let you into the Camp unless you have these!

Packing suggestions

We will be camping on the beach (sand) so Tents only - no RVs. No camp improvements and no shade; so bring tables, chairs, lanterns, stoves, water, umbrellas, etc. All items must be carried from the parking lot to the beach, so pack light.  Remember, this is March -- the weather may be cold, especially in the evenings.
