Accomodations |
|
We will be staying in
tent cabins overlooking the ocean. Each
cabin is supplied with a Coleman lantern, cots, picnic table,
barbeque, fire ring and sunshade. Firewood, propane, and charcoal
are available for sale. Campground has running water, cold
"rinse off" showers, and chemical toilets.

Transportation |
|
We
will depart from Catalina Express in San Pedro on Friday at
12:30 p.m. Please arrive at the Catalina Express terminal by 11:30. a.m.
The
boat will travel directly to Two Harbors . It
should arrive at Two Harbors by about 1:45 p.m.
The
return boat departs Two Harbors at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday and will
arrive at San Pedro at around 2:15.

Take
the 405 Freeway North to the 110 Freeway (Harbor Freeway).
Take the 110 Freeway south to the Harbor Blvd. exit. Go
straight through Harbor Blvd. intersection at end of offramp
and follow signs to the Catalina Sea and Air Terminal.
Note:
Consider carpooling -- Parking is $10 per day.

Express Baggage Policy: |
IMPORTANT:
Catalina Express is “strictly enforcing” the
following baggage policy.
Two
bags per person to be stored in the luggage hold. No one piece
weighing over 70 lbs. and over 21” x 24” x 36” in size.
(Coolers count as a piece of luggage.)
One piece of carry-on luggage (12” x 12” x 24”)
must fit beneath the seat.
No
flammables, including propane and lighter fluid are allowed on
boat.
Two
bags per person to be stored in the luggage hold.

Luggage
will be transported by truck from the end of the boat dock to
the campsite.

Friday |
Lunch
is not provided. Pack
lunch, eat on boat, or eat in Two Harbors at Harbor Reef
Restaurant or Snack Bar.
Pasta
dinner is provided at the Main Bandstand picnic area in
town.

Saturday |
Scrambled
eggs and bacon breakfast is provided at campground.
Lunch
is not provided. Harbor
Reef Restaurant or Snack Bar is available.
BBQ Dinner is provided at the Beach (or "West") Bandstand at around
6:00. Nation ceremonies and skits will follow.

Buffet at the Harbor Reef Restaurant is included.

Generally,
pack light and for warm weather, but also pack a sweater or coat
for the evenings. And, oh yeah, it might rain. A few suggested items:

Activities
|
|
Marine Institute Tour.
We have scheduled an optional tour of the USC
Wrigley Marine Institute for Saturday afternoon.
The tour will cost $5 per person.
Shore taxis are available for the return trip.
Glass Bottom Boat trips. We have reserved several
hours aboard the "Looking
Glass" -- a unique glass bottom boat for viewing the
underwater world around Catalina. If you are interested,
please let your Chief know as soon as possible.
Cost of the trip is $3 per person
Saturday
Evening BBQ Dinner on the Beach.
We will have Nation dinner on the beach, by the main beach
bandstand. Tribal Skits and/or Indian Lore events will take place
after dinner.
Other
activities include: Hiking on ocean-view trails,
snorkeling, boating, swimming, ocean kayaking, volleyball,
tennis, mountain biking along ridge roads, or just plain
relaxing on a sandy beach. For more information about Two
