The program consists of two parts. A ) The 'Retirement Home Revival' which consists of hordes of Indian Princess girls, and others singing in perfect harmony accompanied by their fathers (et al.) bravely attempting to carry a tune! We have found that this works, luckily because the girls tend to drown out the off key dads and the seniors absolutely love it! Confirmed Dates:
1. December 8 (Wednesday evening
6:00 to 6:30 pm)
2. December 9 (Thursday evening 6:30
to 7:00 pm)
3. December 13 (Monday evening
6:30 to 7:00 pm)
4. December 14 (Tuesday evening 6:30
to 7:00 pm)
5. December 15 (Wednesday
evening 6:00 to 6:30 pm)
6. December 15 (Wednesday
evening 6:30 to 7:00 pm)
7. December 21 (Tuesday
evening 6:30 to 7:00 pm) Click on the hyperlinks to see the proposed song sheets (Word, PDF, or TIFF). Any one of your tribes may attend any event or every event - their schedule and interest permitting. Warning: Be prepared to have your girls given a great deal of attention and appreciation - especially by the grandmothers. They may not want to leave! We are working on this!
B) “Present in a Shoe Box” program which consists of anyone in the tribes who wants to fill up a shoe box with presents for less fortunate girls and boys. This was very successful last year, particularly for the dads who helped deliver the toys to the children. Seeing their faces smile with appreciation certainly made my holidays real and gave my girls the experience of GIVING of themselves. The cut off date for delivery of presents is: December 15 (Wednesday) evening (no later than 10 pm) and the delivery point is: 56 West Yale Loop ( in the garage behind the house) Anyone wishing to help with the delivery of the gifts to the less fortunate children please contact me and I will provide details. Naturally, you may bring your Princess(es) with you to deliver the gifts to the children at a special party. I highly recommend this because you really experience the gratitude from these children and it had a very high (positive) impact on the Princesses who attended last year!
