YMCA Trail Maidens for Moms & Daughters 5-8 grade

YMCA's Y-Maidens and Trail Maidens Programs have a primary goal to develop strong bonds of long-term friendship between mother and daughter, and meet this goal with the following objectives:

bulletFoster companionship and understanding and set a foundation for positive, lifelong relationships between parent and child.
bulletBuild a sense of self-esteem and personal worth.
bulletExpand awareness of spirit, mind, and body.
bulletProvide the framework to meet a mutual need of spending enjoyable, constructive, and quality time together.
bulletEnhance the quality of family time.
bulletEmphasize the vital role that parents play in the growth and development of their children.
bulletOffer an important and unique opportunity to develop and enjoy volunteer leadership skills

Within the YMCA Mother-Daughter Programs, mothers spend time with their daughter while enjoying excursions, arts & crafts, family events, tours, weekend get-a-ways, and community outreach activities.  We are organized into Tribes that meet once a month on varying days, times & locations.  There are also monthly opportunities to participate in Nation events where all Tribes gather together.
