Beads will be awarded to princesses at tribal meetings. When 10 beads in a level have been awarded, the princess will receive the appropriate level medallion at the next nation event.


Princess Running Pony (Level 1 - Tan Beads)
  • Tell the story of the headband
  • Tell a story using Indian signs
  • Draw Indian symbols for your Indian names
  • Visit an Indian exhibit of Indian lore
  • Present an Indian skit or dance
  • Make an Indian skit or dance
  • Know your home phone number and address
  • Know your nearest cross streets
  • Know your Mother’s and Father’s first and last names
  • Show the proper way to cross a street, with and without signals
  • Name three poisons in the home
  • Tell the tribe what to do in case of a fire
  • Take a one mile hike with Dad
  • Jump rope with Dad and teach him a rhyme
  • Attend a Nation event with Dad
Cactus Blossum Scout (Level 2 - Green Beads)
  • Tell how Indians used the following animals: Horses, Buffalo, Bear, and Deer
  • Draw Indian symbols for 5 different animals
  • Tell an Indian story to the Tribe using pictures drawn by the Princess
  • Make an Indian craft with Dad and show the Tribe
  • Look for hazardous conditions in the house and yard with Dad
  • Remove objects which may cause accidents and report to the Tribe
  • Know how to dial an operator and ask for police, fire, and doctor
  • Jump into a pool and return to the side and report to the Tribe
  • Take a two mile hike with Dad
  • Learn an Indian sport and play it with Dad
  • Do 5 sit-ups, 2 push-ups, a forward and backward roll
  • Attend an Indian Princess campout
  • Do a favorite activity with your Dad
  • Help Dad wash the car
  • Help Dad prepare a family breakfast

Songbird Hunter (Level 3 - Blue Beads)

  • Name 5 birds, draw a picture of them and describe them and their habits to the Tribe
  • Name 5 animals, draw a picture of them and describe them and their habits to the Tribe
  • Plant vegetable seeds and tell the Tribe about how to grow them
  • Make up your own picture story using Indian symbols and tell the story to your tribe
  • Sing “Friends Forever” with Dad in front of the Tribe
  • Bake cookies and share them with the Tribe
  • Save a useful article and show it to the Tribe
  • Plan a family picnic and prepare one dish
  • Demonstrate the proper use of a knife or hatchet for the Tribe
  • Learn water safety rules and tell them to the Tribe
  • Visit a fire or police station
  • Find fire hazards in the home or garage
  • Go on a 5 mile hike or bike ride with Dad
  • Swim 25 feet
  • Go skating with Dad
Sunshine Princess (Level 4 - Red Beads)
  • Study the history of the Tribe and tell the location, type of shelter, food and other facts to the Tribe
  • Learn 10 Indian hand signs and make three sentences with hand signs
  • Make a birdhouse and feeder. Keep daily records of all birds identified for one month
  • Make a picture album about your history with Indian Princesses
  • Know 5 Nation Tribe names
  • Make up and practice a fire drill in your home
  • Have a first aid kit and demonstrate the proper use of everything inside it to the Tribe
  • Tell the Tribe how to treat snakebites and tell how to identify rattlesnakes or other poisonous snakes
  • Take a 10 mile hike or bike ride with Dad
  • Prepare a complete meal over an outdoor fire for Princess and Dad
  • Go fishing with Dad
  • Attend a sports event with Dad
  • Swim 10 laps with Dad

Golden Thunderbird (Level 5 - Gold Beads)
  • Attend 12 Nation events
  • Attend 6 Nation campouts
  • Help Dad be a Nation officer
  • Be a Princess Chief of your Tribe with Dad
  • Earn all the other bead awards
  • Go camping with your Dad alone, no one else
  • Know all Nation Tribe names
  • Go camping with Dad and family only
  • Earn the Eagle, Red, Blue, and Yellow feathers
  • Help Dad do a skit at a Nation campfire
  • Help Dad do a Medicine Man challenge at a Nation campfire
  • Go with Dad to a zoo, wildlife reserve, or a bird sanctuary and report back to the Tribe
  • Help Dad plan a special event for your Tribe
  • Teach Dad 5 of your most favorite games to play
  • Visit a museum with Dad and report to the Tribe
 
(Achievement Submissions)

Bead Awards:
Should be submitted to the Tribal Chief one week prior to tribal meeting. Please include which bead level tasks were completed, and if a craft was made please bring it to the meeting to share with the rest of the tribe.

Medallion Awards:
Should be submitted to the Nation Bead Merchant one week prior to nation event.
