WELCOME !!!

Welcome to Chumash Nation!!!
Hello and thank you for visiting our website. My name is Grumpy Bear, aka Scott Jones and I am the Chief of the Chumash Nation of "Indian Guides." I've been involved with the program for 5 years now, first with my older son, Sky Fox (Austin) and now with my 6 year old, Little Bull (Brody). We are affiliated with the South Coast branch of the YMCA of Orange County and have about 10 "Tribes" of fathers and sons representing the cities of Aliso Viejo, Laguna Niguel, Laguna Beach and Dana Point. The Y-Guides program is all about quality time between fathers and sons. As a "Nation" we have four weekend camp events each year to places like Catalina, Big Bear, Camp Surf and Camp Marston in Julian, CA. We also participate in local parades, attend a Ducks game and host a Pinewood Derby event. Our "Tribes" also get together about once a month for meetings and regular time spent with dads and their boys. If you have questions or are interested in learning more about joining the Indian Guides program, please feel free to contact me, Scott Jones
